The program allows you to modify the appearance of any field on any the page.
You can change the default field appearance for all fields of a specific field type.
You can also change the appearance for each field individually.
To change the default appearance settings for all fields use the selections under Field Defaults on the Options menu. Here we allow for the default font for all fields to be defined. We allow the date format for all date fields to be defined. We allow zeros to be hidden for all currency fields. Etc.
To change the appearance of a specific field you must open the field’s context menu. This menu can be accessed by either of three methods.
Method 1: If the target field is the active field, then click the Show Field Menu button on the Field Actions toolbar and the field’s context menu will be shown.
Method 2: If the target field is the active field, then you can also use the program’s Edit menu and select Field to show the field’s context menu.
Method 3: If the target field is not the active field, then you can right click on the target field and the field’s context menu will be displayed.
Once the field’s context menu is showing, go to the section labeled Field Formatting and select the item that you want to change. From here you can change the field’s font, date format, number of decimals, whether to show or hide zero amounts, or its text alignment. Click on the words to find out more on each format item mentioned. Only the format items that apply to the field will be enabled, while those that do not apply will be gray and disabled.
Note that the changes made to the appearance of a specific field will only be saved to this one case file and will not be used in all case files.
