This worksheet is used to calculate the value of a currency amount as the total of a list of detail items. It provides two columns, one for a text description of the item, and another for the amount. The item description allows multiple lines to be entered. The item amount column allows for both positive and negative numbers to be entered.
The total amount is calculated and shown at the bottom of the worksheet. This amount is carried forward to the currency field that owns this worksheet. Pressing the Drill Up button while the Total field is active will take you up to the owning field that receives the Total as its value.
Pressing the Drill Down button while the Total field is active will take you to the Amount field on the first detail item on the worksheet. This is meant to expedite entry when drilling down from the owning currency field to begin entering data.
This worksheet allows for an infinite number of detail items. Any items that will not fit on the first page of the worksheet will be carried to continuation pages at print time.
This worksheet can be attached to fields of type currency, and of type dollars-only. When it is attached to a field in a grid row, it will stay attached to that row even when the row is moved within the parent grid. Likewise, if the parent field’s row is deleted then this worksheet will also be deleted.
Note that there are situations where this worksheet is not available for certain currency fields. An example of this would be the item Amount column of this same worksheet. But other than this situation, it is very rare that a currency amount field does not have this worksheet available to be attached to it.
Note that fields of type cents-only require that you attach the Details List worksheet to their sibling companion dollars-only field on their left.
