Using the Windows Help Contents pane

Open this pane by clicking on the Contents tab in the left pane. button at the top left of the Help window.

This dialog shows a table of contents tree of all topics in the help file.

Double clicking on any book icon in the contents dialog will open that book and show its contents. Double clicking on an open book will close that book.

Double clicking on a topic page icon will open that help topic and will close the Contents dialog. 

The Contents is always shown so that you know where the current topic is in the help manual.  This makes it easier to view other topics in the manual that are similar to this help topic.

If the Help Viewer's left pane is not showing the press the Show button on the toolbar.  Click here for more on show/hide the left pane.
