In many cases the instructions on the form describe the calculation of the field.
In other cases the instructions for the calculation of the field are found in the separate form instructions.
However, in some cases the form instructions from the tax authority (IRS) are incomplete. In these cases there will be a brief description of the field’s calculation in the Brief Help pane. In some cases this brief description is just a summary and a more detailed description is shown in the help file. To access this more detailed description in the help use the More button on the Brief Help pane or click on the field with the Help Cursor.
