Navigating the Pages of the Case

Navigating the pages of the case can be done by using the keyboard, or the Table of Contents toolbar, or by selecting pages in the Table of Contents pane’s contents tree.

Using the keyboard:

Use the Page Up key on your keyboard to move up one page in the table of contents. Likewise, use the Page Down key to move down one page in the table of contents. Multiple presses of the same key will move multiple pages quickly.

These keys are most useful if you have hidden the Table of Contents pane to expand the width of the Form Page Editor .

Using the Table of Contents toolbar:

On the Table of Contents toolbar there are two buttons that emulate the Page Up and Page Down keys. The Up button will move up one page in the table of contents as if the Page Up key were pressed. Likewise, the Down button on the toolbar will move down one page as if the Page Down key were pressed.

Browser style navigation is emulated with the Back and Forward buttons on the Table of Contents toolbar . Like a web browser the program stores the sequence of pages opened in the order in which they were opened. This enables you to easily reverse navigate to the previously opened page by using the Back button. The Back button can be pressed many times to go further back in the opened page sequence. Just like a web browser the Forward button will go forward a page in the sequence of previously opened pages. It is only useful just after the Back button is pressed. It allows you to reverse the last Back button press.

For example, if you want are searching for the page that is two pages back and you press the Back button three times you have passed the target page. So now you can use the Forward button to go forward to the target page.

Note: The Back button is most useful when you used the Drill Down button to find the source of a field’s calculation and it opened a different page.

Using the Table of Contents tree:

To open a page can be as simple as selecting the page in the table of contents tree. To open a page, find it in the Table of Contents pane tree control. You may need to scroll the tree up or down to find the page. You may also need to expand a form or schedule to see the child pages. Once you can see the target page, click on it once to select it and it will be opened in the Form Page Editor .

To use the Table of Contents pane is must be visible. If the Show/Hide button on the left displays the text Show then the Table of Contents pane is being hidden. So click this button it once to show the Table of Contents pane.
